I'm new and just opened a website 1 month ago and trying to find ways to improve my serp. Does anyone know if I can get link juice if I point my image in ebay auction to a folder in my domain? I'm storing ebay auction images in a folder in my domain. My auction uses these images to display pictures. Instead of just displaying the image in my auction, I create a link pointing to the location of the image. Will this create link juice to my domain? Thank you
this idea is good, however ebay deleates auctions after 90 days. You want to make sure that your links are permanet. Also im not sure wheather these are dofollow or nofollow links.
I'm pretty sure these are nofollow, and even if they weren't, the auction page you create won't be ranked highly by Google as it is created and deleted within a couple of months so it wouldn't be worth the effort for link building. Though I like your outside-of-the-box thinking!
My auction are good till cancel so they automatically get relisted after 30 days. Thank you for the feedback. I guess the no-follow is wasted effort.
I tested one so someone could examine it. I can't tell if the link is follow or no-follow and pagerank is unranked. cgi.ebay.com/Logitech-V220-Purple-Plum-Wireless-Optical-Mouse-/290498216207?pt=Mice&hash=item43a30b010f
Well I must say good innovative idea, honey. But sorry to say you cannot have that as a backlink The only reason being sites like Ebay, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace do not have any value for the inner pages as well as images. They are all no-follow and de-valued. BTW I like the way you are thinking for your link building plans. Great going
I don't think it is such a good idea to use the images in auction to get backlinks because after a few months, it will be deleted. They are mostly no follow too.
Thank you everyone. I found out that even though backlinks has no value, the images improve my Alexa ranking since my site is so new and get almost no traffics. Thanks again.
interesting idea, but to list a item on ebay you have to pay a fee, so you can do this but only if you are naturally selling on ebay
