"We are one America, our policy, our leaders, our people."

i guess that phrase makes the groundwork for the stereotypes i've seen lately

so if someone blames the communist party of america, they are anti-american?

if someone blames fema for katrina they're anti-american?

if sean hannity blames the ACLU for some civil case, he is anti-american?

    answer all 3 of those.

If someone gives credit to terrorists for their deeds, instead of blaming America first, does that mean they are giving support and love to their own country, or to an organization outside of America?

    Food for thought...

Utter nonsense. I do not subscribe to the politics of the neo-cons, neo-libs or any of these other radical factions. And neither do the majority of the American people.

You just use it as a pejorative, a means to diminish the person you are debating with.

Ron Paul offers a harsh and consistent criticism of American interventionist foreign policy. It highlights the need for America to stop being the policeman of the world, and for us to start taking care of our domestic challenges, rather than undermining the wealth of the nation by exporting it in foreign aid and militarism.

It's not about you. You are not America, nor am I. Together, "we" are. "We" not "I". Ron Paul, once again, used political opportunism to blame his country for something that it had no part in. Listening to him, it was hard to tell if he was an American, or part of al qaida's chief propagandist. Really disappointing that someone like that is actually running for POTUS.

And with good reason. I have no respect for those that sympathize with terrorists, use their talking points, attempt make light of their deeds on "our" fellow citizens and others around the world. It really doesn't matter what you want to call it...it is what it is. One cannot have it both ways. One cannot sympathize with, make excuses for, support and defend terrorists, and turn around and take offense when others point it out. It's not unlike someone who might repeatedly tear their country down, but doesn't want others to remind them they are doing so. There is an option. It's a four letter word. Stop.

It highlights a consistent pattern of sympathy and self-loathing, of seeking opportunities to absorb unnecessary blame for the world's problems. Worse yet, he's made it absolutely clear that "we" deserved to be attacked, that it is "our" fault, and that if done again, he would do absolutely nothing about it.

He needs to write himself a referral to a psychiatrist and get on some medication. America needs a leader, not a whiney self-loathing blame America first pacifist that wants to dismantle our country and take us back three hundred years.

It's pretty neat, huh? Well, let's see. When ron paul speaks, he has this shrilling whiny voice, kind of like the nerd in school whose desperately trying to get the teacher's attention so he can share his thoughts on how UFOs are not here to harm us, they just want the Nachos Bellgrande from Taco Bell.

Oh, the self-loathing. My gawd! Democrats are known for seeking out blame, but ron paul, he's mastered it. If a Monk in Thailand (if there are any still left after all the slaughtering of them taking place) had a genital wart, Ron Paul would issue a press release that it was America's fault!

You got that right babs. :)

It needs a leader rather than a controlled puppet which is what you have had for years now.

My greatest fear is that if Ron Paul makes as much of an impact as I think he is going to then an "unfortunate accident" will happen.

So attacking the pitch of his voice and laying out a hyperbole about how he blames America for everything. Honestly guys, why do you even acknowledge GTech is here? He's got nothing, he's a joke at this point. Just ignore him when he posts crud, and rip him apart when he actually comes to debate. He's got nothing and it's hilarious, but we just keep on feeding the trolls.

It was an opposite "counter" to the blame America first position. I simply turned it around, which probably caused some confusion.

    No worries, I understand.

Does he have a lazy eye? I hadn't noticed. I heard he had three nipples though.

One thing you cannot miss, is Ron Paul's nose. Disney ought to get a contract with him on that snout for a pinnochio movie or something. That snout would give an aardvark a serious woody!

It had not part in propping up a military dictator, who took power over a democratically elected government by coup, who had less than 8% popular support, and received $10 billion in foreign aid from us.

Sounds like something every American should be concerned about when their taxpayer dollars are spent sponsoring an illegitimate regime armed with nuclear power in a country that breeds terrorists.

On the contrary, I think it sets a standard for accountability and honesty. Do you know what your CIA has been doing? The cost and danger to the American people?

The first reasonable post I've seen you make in a very long time regarding policy. I agree, her death today had nothing to do with such. Nor does the aid that an ally receive have anything to do with it either. What was really interesting about this, is the way way Ron Paul answered when asked if he was concerned about Pakistan having nukes in the midst of terrorists in that country. I simply shook my head at how dumb and delusional his response was.

Uh, you're coming out of character now. I shouldn't have to remind you that the only terrorists there ever were (unless you let alex jones do your thinking like AGS does) were the 19 hijackers that attacked America because it was our fault.

But, you are correct, this has nothing to do with her death. Now I understand why you like Ron Paul though. There is a commonality in blaming America first. Genital wart, anyone?

I don't believe it's the American people you are concerned with. I've never been left with that impression when debating with you. Now, other people...yes, I've seen a concern for "others."

Again, this has nothing to do with her death. As much as I know how important it is to always find blame for America when something happens in the world, this simply isn't one of them, no matter how hard you try.

Could you explain why it is, though, that you feel it's so important to blame your country for someone's death? I'd really like to understand the mentality of how one comes to such conclusions, and if it's an automatic "first reaction" to begin searching for ways to hold your country responsible for something, when it happens. Is it sort of an inner hatred? Does it provide some sort of stimulus response, or quell guilty feelings to accept blame on behalf of your country? I'd really like to understand how the mind is tricked into thinking like this. It's something I've never understood.
