Does high CTR means elimination from Adsense?

I have a very high genuine CTR of around 45% with 150 page hits everyday. My friend says Google wont like it and will withdraw Adsense. Is this true?

I don't believe so, it shows your site is very optimized and made great for adsense, and folks don't click unless something interests them. One of my sites averages the same rate or higher, sometimes much higher, and it's been like that now for almost 5 months. I say the higher the better as long of course the clicks are legimate, as with any adsense click.

I mean come on, high CTR is something we all want........ is it not ? otherwise why do we add images by ads or constantly tweak to make a site perform better.

That is very high, just becareful that the site is not "made for adesense' with nearly 1/2 your visitors using the adsense there cant be that many choices other than the adsense ads.

When I made the site I didnt have any idea about AdSense. I have given quite a effort to optimise my pages. I have put ads in such a manner as to get maximum CTR. I think the secret lies in making the visitors curious. For example making a page on online dating. Gives them the dos and donts. Put in a success story. But dont tell them about any dating site ....what will they do?....obviously they will be tempted to click on the dating site ads.

Another way could be giving incomplete information. Talk about seven wonders of the world and mention only three...lol. If there is an ad ..they are bound to go there.

Putting the ads on top and cordinating the colours with the site works well too.

My site has nothing to do with dating or seven wonders...I just used them as an example. My friend lost his adsense campaign just because of high CTR. I am not really confident about Google's ability to distinguish between genuine and fraudlent clicks.

My high CTR is not because of lack of content , but because of fresh visitors everyday. I use advertising on high traffic sites to drive traffic to my site...If I am going to be eliminated..its better I stop wasting money right now.

If you are making more than you are spending, sounds like a win win situation. If you are doing nothing wrong, enjoy the profits and diversify so you have multiple sources of revenue.

I'd love to know the website too - it's great when people can get those kind of results legitimately. Well done.

..or the site is one of those spammy whammpy sites and the visitors are "forced" to click since the site has no valuable content whatsoever. IMHO, the less valuable content one has, the higher the CTR ( you just need traffic )

If this is the case, maybe google will penalise you one day.

    If not, congrats :)

Nonsense that google will ban just because you have a high CTR. We have many sites with 25-55% CTR. Several have been around with adsense and consistently high CTR for over a year.

People need to stop being so paranoid about what google might do just because they've found a recipe a recipe that works. If you're not violating the TOS, stop worrying and start enjoying. :D

I don't think high click rate mean deletion. But one thing I can say by experience that high click thru may reduce your CPC.
