Please watch this whole series of videos before you comment. It's very interesting and worth watching IMHO. http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=en-US&brand=msnbc&vid=95d9b0af-2430-4b2b-a6a0-e2c6ab9a4f26 It is an episode of Dateline NBC. Personally, I don't believe that the original texts of the bible are even talking about something in the afterlife when they refer to "hell", but I'm still working out all of the translation/contextual/cultural issues, and this video hit very close to home. And I believe it is intellectually honest by showing both sides of the debate. All in all, I think it's a powerful story. Regards, SolutionX Edit: I guess if you don't have the bandwidth to watch the videos that would be rude of me to exclude you. I wasn't really thinking. Post away.
Yes it does, beware! Hades can be quite the ass I hear but who could blame him? Being given the underworld by his father (Cronus), while his bros Zeus and Poseidon got the upperworld? I'd be pretty po'd too. Oh the biblical hell? Well, that hell was just taken from other mythology anyway, so that one is obviously the fake and one could conclude that it in fact, does not exist.
Something kind of ironic that I just realized is that the famous Baptist Pastor in the video who is damning people to eternal hell, was busted for hiring a male prostitute not too long after this show aired.
