I have heard that sites with over 100 pages get more attention from Google. Has anyone else noticed this? Does it raise your PR level? Does it help your rankings?

I think so. My Page PR and SERPS took off as a result of adding an article directory as a sub-domain as well as adding an RSS feed to my main page. The results can be found at:

I don't think it is purely as a result of the 100 pages. Rather it is the content on those pages. To a degree having 100 pages of content would look better than a one page sales letter site but if the content has no substance, I doubt you will rank that well.

Focus on great, relevant content, and I think you will rank very well. As someone else pointed out backlinks is another sure fire way of great PR.

    Cheers

Yes, but not very much. Each additional page you add to your site will pass a small amount of PageRank to your homepage, as long as you link to your homepage with each page.

Since the new pages will be very close to PageRank zero, it won't make much of a difference until your site starts getting PR. It's kind of circular. For a more thorough lesson on this, you can see this article I wrote a while back: top google rankings.

Yes, it could be the result of so many small pagerank points that having 100 pages gives you which helps your homepage PR. The way I heard it described before though was as if google places your site in a higher category once you reach that 100 indexed page plateau.
