Does having a link in the local section affect overall traffic results?

    I had a website before that was focused on a local area and had the website listed under local businesses in google, later i changed the website for everyone from everywhere, but it seems that the only people that come to the website are still locals.

    Do does listings affect areas that arent local??

    any suggestions and advice on this subject? thanks

    you should promote more your site.. gather more links everywhere.. and its normal since its new..
