Does Google Want to Compete Facebook's Like Button

    They want to compete with everyone. But they failed. They wanted to compete with Twitter (failed), Facebook (failed in most countries) because those website are getting a higher and higher authority in the web industry

    I was thinking of creating a google +1 plugin for my blogs site, but, if, (the Google +1 button), is a failure I don't see the point in doing it.

    Do you have any links that I could read that discuss if Google +1 is worth adding or not.

    well if that's their intention on that one, then they are not doing a good job.. besides it only works when you signed in your google account..

    It wasn't implemented until now. As for impacting SEO, I highly doubt it.

    Google probably keep looking for ways and means to make this feature more useful and valuable, as well as keep it from abuse of use..

    I think they don't have this attitude of competing... but they try to keep themselves IN THE GAME!! This keeps them in the news & remind people about Google & that they care & work hard.
