Does google sandbox still exist?

Well even not proven before that there is really a sandbox in google, I notice that topic about google sandbox from webmasters forum are not that hot as hot year ago I guess.

And it seems that new sites can easily get position now from google as long as they have good back links and optimized well.

    Just an observation...

One of my sites, 6 months old, is still sandboxed. On one DC it is about #650. On the others, it is not in the top 1000.

Yesterday, I popped up at #14 on one DC. Last night, it disappeared into oblivion once again.

Is the Sandbox for every new site? A new site I opened recently is already on page 2 of Google for the keyword.

For my first site it took 6 months. For second site it took 6 days. After lot of research on my first site, I came to know that the first site was banned/sandboxed from previous owner. I contacted google and they rectified the problem.

There is a difference between getting indexed and sandboxed. You can get indexed and still be in the sandbox. The sandbox keeps you from getting listed high in the SERP for competitive keywords. If you have a non competitive keyword, you may get listed in the top 10 SERPs fast without even trying. Some sites slowing make it out of the sandbox and others look like they were kicked to the top of the SERPs. Good Luck.

some say a sandbox exists, others disagree.
I've had sites that google just would not index, and other new sites that got indexed in a week.

Obviously something 'trips the algorithium' to keep your site out of google.
In my experices, sites that 'look/feel spammy' take longer to get out the sandbox, than lots of lovely spiderfood (good content).

i don't think sandbox is the appropriate word to address wht google applies to the new site i mean have recently read abt trustrank thing that 's what Matt like to call it.. And this doesn't apply to all new sites actually. It depends a lot on the industry u belong to so if u r trying to target a highly competitive keyword then this may apply to ur site but on the other hand if ur industry is less competitive then u can easily rank for your chosen keywords.

if you do something to "trip the algorithm" and your site isn't in the index at all that's not the sandbox-- that means you're likely banned.

the sandbox is about not ranking, not about not being in the index.

There are no special tips to get rid of google sandbox. There is lot of speculation regarding sandbox. Some say it exists and some say it does not. Based on few examples in the past of sites breaking free from the affect, there are no common factors to get out of it, but few tricks are worth trying out.

    • Get more links to the internal pages of the web site.
    • Reduce link building to max 4-5 new links on weekly basis.
    • New links added should be natural links with related text.
    • Avoid buying site wide style links.
    • Focus on good content and a better internal linking structure.

These are few assumptions that most of them use on a trial and error basis. You can call it a workaround as it’s not the exact solution. IMO No one knows of an exact solution for the sandbox effect.
