Do blogger blogs really get indexed faster by Google? Can a good wordpress blog that pings Google blog search with good link pop do just as well as a blogger blog? ~Adam
Im not sure, but ive seen some real crappy blogs who have done no link building or seo , have horribly bad copy pasted content& still turning up on google very fast.
I think they can do well but it seems like the blogger blogs have an immediate 'in' with google, ya know? I have both- one blogger & one non-blogger and they both are indexed and were indexed fairly fast.
No, it doesn't. Google will not index Blogger blogs faster than other sites or blogs. Despite what some pundits may claim about Google giving it preferential treatment because it owns Blogger, it's simply not true. Remember, Google's main objective is to make money via advertising on the back of serving the most relevant search results possible. It can't serve the most relevant search results possible if it starts playing favorites since that would then defeat the purpose of serving the most relevant results possible in the first place.
Not in my experience, my blogger pages are indexed rather slow actually. My real blog gets indexed in ten mins, at least in these two test it did.
I think the only way Blogger could have an advantage, is if absolutely nothing was done to promote either blog & nobody linked to either. Then, the Blogger blog would have the advantage of already being a resource Google is aware of.
I think yes....but not because they are blogs.. but because all fresh content comes up on the home-page, which is generally the strongest page on the site.
Of course they're not. Surely you can find results in MSN, Yahoo, Ask, or other indexes that you don't see in Googles' index. Granted you'ld have to be the laziest of lazy bastards for the advantage to be of any noticable effect. But the advantage does exist by design.
That's because he was banned for doing some shady tactics. No, blogger blogs aren't indexed faster. The more backlinks your blog has, the faster it'll get indexed.
That was the point, Forgotten Creature. His site isn't in the index, but they are most definatley aware of it.
Not with a new blog though. They're not aware of a site which isn't on their servers untill someone makes them aware of it. Since Google runs the Blogger servers, they're automaticly aware of it there.
