Does Google pull clicks?

I have what I consider to be a decent Adsense tracking script. It gives me everything I need like date time referrer, adwords click keyword used to hit me, IP address of visitor, advert clicked on, etc.

What is getting to me a little is that Google is not tallying to my tracking software. I have only noticed this for the last 2 weeks ish. and only then because I am tracking some low traffic sites.

I fail to see how the software could be wrong, as it is so damn accurate with the information, but for some reason Google is not crediting my account with the correct amount of clicks according to the traking script.

Which leads me to ask the question above, 'does google pullclicks for any reason'?

I know that in the past when running an adwords campaign, I have seen a run of fraudulent clicks, which are credited to my account within a day or two without my asking, but I have never really bothered with the Adsense side of things.

    Any comments?

Actually , even I have seen weird things happening sometimes. I track my earnings through the adsense plugin on firefox. It tells you your earnings right on your browser and you can set the refresh timer too.

So, sometimes when I am watching the earnings furiously and refresh lot many times, I noticed a strange thing. Say for example, my earning for the day has reached $10.56 and then the next moment, it will go down ( can u believe it??) to say..$10.50 or $10.25 ...or something like that ( this is just an example)..

I would really like to hear other's stories as well, before I can make some conclusion. Though I am happy with adsense.

The script I use can not tell you your earnings, but it is real time reporting, so I can get the info immediately. I have seen earnings without clicks on some sites, but assumed this is because of CPM ads being shown.

It is a ppc tracking script that tracks any clicks made on PPC ads. It is 100% within the TOS and is an essential piece of kit in making sure that I am getting the most from ads. I need to get one written now for affiliate stuff as well.

I am now looking to get a script that will switch between affiliate ads and adsense 50/50 split for testing (if anyone knows of one much appreciated)

Yes, but don't these "tracking" scripts just predict the clicks, don't they? They don't actually record the actual clicks, correct? If that's the case, then the numbers wouldn't match up, as one is recording actual clicks (Google), and the other (your script) is predicting the clicks. At least that's what I heard how these Adsense trackers operate.

How can it be predicting clicks when it is giving me the Ip address, the advert, the page the traffic was delivered to away from my site etc.

I am not sure, but I think it might be a bot that is tripping the ads, and Google are removing the clicks via IP recognition.

Yeah, it's giving you the IP of the person whose mouse is hovering over the Adsense ad, but it can't track the actual clicks. It's just predicting that because the user has his mouse over the ad for a certain length of time that it has/will click the ads. I'm not saying I'm 100% sure this is how these adsense tracking software works, but I remember reading that this was how they work. I could be wrong, of course...

I use a script (asrep) and it gives me different numbers comparing to Google

usually it's about 20% difference, even setting all possible configurations allowed by the script such as

    - report only verified clicks (i think with this option, the script tracks only clicks with the left button)
    - don't report clicks from same IP (i set this to 1 day)
