Does Google Penalize...

    If I used a few blog entries from my website and submitted the same article to article directories like Ezine, what kind of penalties could be incurred from Google? Would this hinder my search results? Would I be able to just delete the entries and no harm done after that? I appreciate any help or suggestions.

    hi jwmann2,

    prevously i did the same thing, took the content from my website itself and posted to article directories sites., Google penalized my website and droped my SERP and even my PR from 6 to 2. i recommend to have a unique content and this can submit to certain article directories..,

    did you end up deleting your duplicate content? Have you recovered your page rank?

    yeah i deleted the articles which had delete option and again it took me almost an year to get back my rankings and PR..,

    Yes, it is mistake and Google may consider it as spam.As google algorithm is updated;so same content at more than 1 site may be considered as spam.Never submit same article at multiple site.rather than try to write new content and submit them to 1 article directory only to get your backlink indexed.
