Does Google Penalize iFrames?

    Hey guys,

Just curious. I have a ton of websites, and a few getting quite a bit of traffic. I was wondering if for instance, I place an iFrame on Site A, which is an Adult site, that has Site B in the iFrame, which is a Movie site, will either site get Penalized? Or will Google just ignore it? If not, does anyone know how to stop Google from crawling iFrames?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Google might not like adult site but you would also not get punish for site A or site B. Using iFrames in displaying contents for site B on site A would neither do good for site A nor for site B. :)

    all the best,

Google looks down on sites hosting iframes, as they are deceptive ways to get traffic, etc.

Not really advisable to use iFrames for a website and I find it hard to do onsite optimisation for such websites.

See as far as my knowledge is concerned Google will not penalize your site for using iframe, as many websites use iframe to display some ads, as far as linking to a movie site from an adult site is concerned, it may penalize the movie site, as it is getting the links from an adult site, BUT it might not also be true as we don't have any restriction on which site is going to link to us.

It is not about getting penalized but sometime Google gets some kind of problem in crawling from Iframe. you can see all these detail in male ware in your webmaster account for which google bans .

I didn't mean getting penalized FROM the link, I meant would I get penalized due to having the iFrame to trade traffic to one single domain?
