Does google like internal linking beyond your navigation? I have a very large site which I have included some of my key phrases in the navigation but was wondering if I include some internal text links with my key phrases in it whether google frawns on that. Thanks in advance.
For my sites, I've found that if I keyword stuff to many internal links on the pages I trip a filter - been-there-done-that It appears to be some kind of ratio of stuffed links versus content. If your pages are big and full of unique content I think you can get away with more links. My personal guidelines are to design the pages/internal links with the idea that they WILL be hand checked for SE spam. For instance if you have a page that covers Las Vegas real estate and it also contains a few links to surronding area real estate pages then its probably good for your users, the crawlers and the PageRank of those pages. I also vary the number of links based on the amount of content and I avoid excessvie keyword stuffing and it seems work well. -jay
Create your pages for users and you will be fine. If you have a block of text and parts of it relate to other parts of your site then link to them.
