Does google know you are clicking?

    Anyone know if google count the clicks you make on your own website and any consequences?

    Of course, if you are clicking your own adsense ads, google will come to know about it. You will get banned from adsense by clicking your own ads.

    I'm visiting my site for testing purposes and ensure it's running, etc. That should be ok if I'm not clicking on the ads right?

    Yes that is absoloutely fine, it's only if you click your own ads that you will get suspended/terminated.

    Do not forget that google is much smarter than most people are and they have advanced mechanisms in place to detect unethical clicks. If you want to get your account banned, go ahead and do anything you feel like.

    Google understands that webmasters record accidental clicks and cater for it. But, obviously, you should not click intentionally or regularly in the case of accidental clicks.

    I think many webmasters record an accidental click rate of once per six months. (Just guessing, but that seems about right)

    I clicked on my own ads and made 7,000 in one month. All from different locations traveling around the world for business. Made 12,500 that month in total and I'm still at it.

    No I'm actually full of shit on that one. If Google can outsmart hackers they sure as hell can tell where you've clicked.
