Does Google Know Where You Live?

I am not sure how many of you know about this, but searching for your phone number on google can give someone a map to your house or office. Check out my blog post for more info.

 

Your IP can be traced to block level and sometimes deeper as well.

 

This is old news. I first heard about it two or so years ago. Only difference between what Google does and what old style reverse directories do is that Google makes the information much more accesssible.

 

Upon trying this I had no results.

You can send them an email and request this information be removed. I did this last year and it was removed within 24 hours.

As I remember, there was a link to do such in the results it returned.

 

I just checked my work number and it pulled up over (400) posts that I have made with my phone number attached to it. That is my work number and doesn't bother me. My home number on the other hand.....

 

They've had reverse lookup directorys forever. This is really nothing new at all.

 

Your IP, phone number and name easily traced and searchable on Google if you post address in in mail, forum , blog , or site. some sites provide paid information also
