You can see what the bots see by using a spider simulator: http://www.webconfs.com/search-engine-spider-simulator.php
Google being able to spider a page and google saving some text in a database to be parsed by your browser are totally different things. I hate almost everything about javascript! Brandon
Google is ABLE to read javascript. But it's still very, very, very (did I mention very) limited. Thus, we can safely assume that Google is not reading JS. However, that's not the case in the near future. Then you hate "Google AdWords External Keyword Tool" and "Yahoo News" and "Yahoo Mail"? Both Google and Yahoo are slowly moving to AJAX (Asyncron Javascript And Xml) when they think appropriate. If you keep hating JS, you are going to be left behind my friend.
From what I've read, Google is able to read only javascript it has found to be used to mask text and things shady for penalty. But as for reading scripts fully, absolutely not.
