Does Google indexes blogsopt blogs automatically?

I was wondering if Google indexes the blogspot blogs automatically without we submitting it in usual way as we do for a generic website?

My experience with blogspot and Google are not too favorable. I built 5 or 6 blogspot blogs and it took over a month to get indexed. I didn't post everyday though but anyway I just setup a Wordpress blog and posted 2 articles and it got indexed in 2 days.

 

If you build a couple of backlinks it will speed up the process.
Otherwise you can wait even a few weeks to get indexed.

 

There is an option in the Settings to allow you blog to appear in search results. I think it is on by default which probably means your blog will get indexed automatically.
