    Just wondering..

We all knew that Google usually penalized paid directory websites..right?

but how about contest website (not a directory) that sells links to other websites/blogs in order for them to be a contest sponsor? does google penalize this also?

..been trying to put adsense for a month..but still no ads published. Feared that google has already punishing me. :(

Google basically doesn't like any paid links unless they have the nofollow attribute.

With AdSense you should know if you are punished/banned. You wouldn't be able to log into your adsense account at all. Google would've e-mailed you about it too. Try e-mailing AdSense support about the issue.

Thanx for the reply. Fyi, my account is still fine. And i haven't receive any email from google. Will email google later.

Just wondering..the last time i tried, (while using blogspot) the ads appear after a few hours i set it up.(well..ppl always says that blogs in blogspot get 'special-treatment' by google). So, how long does it takes for google ads to appear on normal website?

    thanx~~

There are hundreds of reasons why Google ads wouldn't show up on your site. Why don't you post your URL? :)

click on my name and check out the homepage section.

wow..that fast? so i guess my website is considered abnormal~sigh....

to answer your question...I'm selling links to those who are interested in becoming contest sponsors for a find and win contest. (at a very low price btw). contestants will go into the contest sponsors' website to find the answer. So the two main things in my website are..

    -Find and Win online contest
-getting contest sponsors: Selling links that will be used for the contest to those who are interested in getting massive traffic.

So, i think it's very obvious that i'm selling links to other websites and i fear that sooner or later google will flag my website.:(

Don't post your URL and potentially damaging information here, please. You'd be surprised at the number of weasels here who would seek to harm your rankings.

One thing I notice about your website is that you don't have keywords in your page title or in key locations on your page. It could be that Google just cannot determine the theme of your website and is displaying public service ads as a result.
