We're developing a javascript application and we were wondering if google is giving any value to the javascript links? Do you have any experience with cases like this?

I'm pretty sure that the answer is no.
When they crawl the site and the bot finds a javascript tag it skips over it until the html starts again.

This is not correct. The Google bot is capable of processing many simple javascripts and hence can read javascript links, But I do not know whether it count it as dofollow, doindex or not.

It does not give any value to Java Scripts --- if it did then all Google ads which are run by JS would have got values.

yes google can still consider it, but they have a hard time crawling on some javascript links so its not recommended.

Google might consider it but not 100% guarantee.
