I am wondering if Google would just remove duplicate content or push it down in search results. For example, you write an article and submit it to an article directory. 1000 other sites take your article and put it on their site. Now you have 1000 other websites out there that link to yours, but it is all duplicate content. Will Google punish you for such backlinking methods?
Dude, the quoted article has nothing to do with souljaboygear's question. What I see in my industries (US household products and software) is that the situation has not changed for article marketing till now. Websites with tons of scrapper links via article marketing are still holding their SERP positions. What's even better, is that I am seeing one new website, depends solely on article marketing, is rising fast in a wide variety of search terms. Hope this helps. P/S: It would be great if folks here can share their observation about SERP they are watching.
Google frowns upon SEO. Article marketing is a part of that. With that in mind, let me ask you; Do you think Google frowns on article marketing?
I think as long as you do not have the same article on your blog/webpage that you are submitting to the article directories than you will be ok.. You will not have duplicate content but a lot of your backlinks may not be great if all you do is article marketing.. I think it is good to do some Article Marketing, but make sure you have plenty of other backlinks aswell pointing to your site.
As above. If I submit an article to a directory, I have it based on something related to my blog post, and use the blog post as a reference, creating another link without worrying if someone used the article.
From experience, I can tell you 1 GOOD article in 1-2 popular article directories is much better then 100 articles in 1000 crappy directories. Google doesn't count the same article link on 1000 article directories.
Yes..... Just so its not 1 word... which answers the question perfectly.. let me give u some other words -> Google doesnt like seo.. if you do it.. you will face pr lose or removal of search engine.. I would say dont submit to random sites, but the legit ones and dont over due it.
Google frowns upon EVERYTHING that makes their SERP look crappy, so if article marketing's gonna bring crappy site to the top, then yes Google will frowns on article marketing. But frown is one thing; able to work on a solution to release the frown is another. That's why we're still seeing lots of crappy stuffs in Google SERP.
Yeah, Google provides tons of crappy results. Btw I never submit my articles to more than 4-6 article directories.
Screw Google. But first lotion up. First you have to even land on page one, to even be read. But isn't it better to be read by ten times as many people through Websites???
