there are various domain extensions from .coms for companies to domain extensions for countries. but when it comes to a non-localized keyword (like shopping in the uk or something), does google favor domain extensions? like .com over .info? because since i've been working more and more, and since .infos are relatively cheap (for the first year's registration), i've been considering buying more and more of them. so would it be a good idea to stick with .coms? or would building sites on .infos be a good idea... or not?
I think .com is the best value for business sites.if you want to protect your brand buy domain much as you can May be noob answer sorry.
no no rashod, your reply is appreciated and respected. because that's actually what a lot of businesses do. they buy, buy, and more buy domains in attempts to protect themselves from copyright infringement and trademark violations. but this is also backed up by DMCA. but i'm not really concerned with legalities, just if prs and serps are in any way, even marginally, affected by domain extension.
For generic TLDs, there is no SEO benefit (if in doubt, read Matt Cutts blog - he's already answered this).
