Does Google detect clickfraud from proxy servers?

I am not someone who will be looking for easy cuts, short routes and quick money. Just someone with not so much AdSense experience and very curious.

I am very curious who has tried this:

Open a proxy server and click on your own AdSense.

Does Google detect the clickfraud or do you get your money? Who has tried?

I haven't tried, but I do want to advise against this.

Not only are you risking getting caught, and your account getting banned forever, you're also scamming another webmaster (that's actually doing things the right way) out of hard-earned money.

I hope that if you try this, you follow it up with a "why is my adsense account banned?" thread.

Repeatedly act of like this will give a google to set a flag and watch your website, and one day the G will banned your site. Some of my friend already perform like this.

If you get a lot off clicks trough proxies it won't take long for your account to be banned. Don't play with google or face the consequences...

Im sure you would initially get your money but soon enough Google would start to monitor the clicks you were receiving and eventually ban you from AdSense.

ok cool. sounds good. just wanna hear what you guys experienced because it seems like sites as Digg.com are not coping with the proxy servers, they cant put up with the fraud.

My intentions were not to fraud with advertisers, I just cannot see how Google would find out about proxy servers.

Anybody know how they detect? They collect IP's from proxylist websites and test it?

Opmax, Google can track your IP and check with several lists, including webproxies server lists.

It's very simple, do you agree? In additional, remember yourself that we are talking about GOOGLE, a company that work with billions of dolars yearly, so it has so many intelligent guys thinking what you are thinking and looking for what to do to avoid it! ;)

Never try to outsmart google. Repeated clicks from any source will arouse suspicion and whoever commits click fraud is doomed to loose his/her account permanently. Stay honest and be happy. :D

Once you log into adsense, they own you. They know you already man. Also if you install any of their products (chrome, toolbar, desktop, google earth) etc, it don't matter what proxy you are behind

It also tends to be a little suspicious when you have 1000 impressions and 1000 clicks or very high ratio of impressions to clicks. Although not out of the question, but day after day I would assume this wouldn't sit too well with them. Even more so when you have a brand new site, that alexa doesn't even rank yet. But you have 1000+ visitors per day right off the bat. All I can say is it's not worth the risk of getting banned. Adsense is one of the best programs out there. Probably the best, you don't want to ruin your chances of using the best now or in the future.

its not just ip-address, google keep track of the click patterns, time when your add is clicked, how long someone stays in your site.. ctr, impressions and much more.. not easy to cheat them..

Let me tell you a story -
There was once a young man, who had dreams about making a fortune online. He did research and make blogs with good content and added Adsense to the blogs and make a few cents. He got tired of waiting around for clicks to come and found out about proxy sites. He did daily routines through many proxy sites and clicked on his own ads. One day, he got this extremely well written letter from the Adsense department of Google stating that his account was under investigation on invalid clicks. All for what? Just $4.09.
He was depressed as he knew Adsense accounts are the best and they're like virginity. You can't get one back unless you lie through your nose. He starting working on his blogs daily, worked hard on content and getting good relevant links. Guess what? Know he's making $15 - $40/day from real traffic and clicks. :D

Google is smart, don't mess with them unless you're smarter. :)

You might be able to get way with it couple of times but for long term wise, it's not a good idea.

They ban people doing nothig bad, imagine clicking own ads through proxy. Only chance to survive that is you spend much more on adwords that you are earning with adsense with same account.
