i have a question, does google dedute the tax from your adsense earning. or you will have to pay them your self, if this is the case, how should you do the tax for adsense earning, treat it the same as other type of income?? thank you, I'm new to adsense tax.
No tax is deducted by Google. You are responsible for paying the appropriate taxes, and Google will send you a 1099 form within the next few weeks most likely. I don't know how this works for countries other than the United States.
If you don't have your tax info on file with Google, they will not send your payment. Better make sure of that. Christian is correct, Google does not deduct the tax.
Click on the "tax information" section of your account page where you'll be asked to file a W9 form. Then at beginning of the new year, you'll be sent a 1099 form showing your earnings. You then report those earnings on your April tax return, when you'll be required to pay your taxes.
well, what country are you in? if you're in the US you'll be taxed up the wazoo..in Eu. i think it's twice up the wazoo. ((humn, wazoo? nice domain..brb))
i am not sure where are you from, If you are in INDIA then you have to pay CAPITAL GAIN TAX. Regards Nandan
Um what if you dont pay the tax, how would the government even know your getting these cheques lol. Plus i live in canada Tyler
No. Google do not deduct taxes from your earnings. Its you who have to pay the taxes according your country's rules.
If you are in the US and receive a 1099 form from Google, that same information is sent to the IRS. I report this type of income on a Schedule C form and additional forms that are related to self-employment income. See your accountant for additional information. Of course, if you run a separate business entity which files its own tax returns, most likely you will include this income there. Other countries, no doubt, have their own rules for determining if this income is taxable. But if your country requests that Google send them information on who and how much they pay, rest assured that Google and any other affiliate company will send that information. Know your country's tax codes.
No they don't, but they report all earnings to the IRS and if you don't report your taxes - then adsense has every right to pay the IRS with your funds.
Because the 1099 form that Google will send you, the IRS also gets a copy. So the IRS knows how much Google has paid you, and if you don't claim that income on your taxes...eventually it will come back to bite you in the ass...in the form of tax evasion. Once again, this is U.S. taxes only.
