Read an article here at http://google-algorithm-ruins-my-business.blogspot.com/
also see the news Mahalo layoff 10% because the google algorithm thing.
All make me wondering why the government or the EU be harsh to Microsoft who only control our PC, but google is manipulate what we see. We have give google too much power, they can now decide what we see, decide a business's success or failure. There should be some law do sth about it.

Google does have some control over numerous things... I know of companies that had so much business they had a hard time keeping up. Then an algo changed happened and they had to lay more than 50% of their employees off. Google has a huge affect on companies, business and information we see... more so than any other company.

That's like blaming the police for losing your job as a drug dealer when they bust your supplier. These websites/companies were obviously gaming Google to get higher SERPs without providing any real quality to the end user. It's in no way similar to what a bundled Internet Explorer did to Netscape.

The real culprit controlling what we see, what we buy and what we think are the TV companies but that's another story ...
