You can increase the crawl rate in google webmaster tools. Also try to build some backlinks and add content in your site on regular bases, this will help to increase crawl rate.
no it's definitely slowed down over the last few months. we have (multiple) sites were waiting for changes to be recached, some since as far back as 04 August on PR3 pages. the previous timespan for this was 2 -3 weeks on PR3 pages. and please don't tell me about getting links and sitemaps and the like.
Two check point. 1. Check your xml sitemap. 2. Check the priority set for your pages 3. Check the rate you have set through Webmaster Tool 4. Check your navigation. 5. RSS Feeds is a good example
does the meta work? Ive tried it and it made no difference... giggle seems like a law unto itself...and a fussy one at that
i also agree google is very slow now in crawling pages it have my site pages with cached page of august and about webmaster tools google dont allows most of the webmasters to select faster option and im one of them who is not allowed to use faster option .
An easy way to get it crawled is to get a link from digg.com and s I see it, every page gets into the google within a day, if I put a link from digg.com Try it
definitely slowed down. my logs show googlebot arriving every few days but not crawling many pages. WMT showed last crawl as almost a month ago despite regular updates (it has udated the date in WMT recently).
adding the meta revisit is a waste of the time it takes to type it. sitemap priority can hinder you if you have it wrong, but if it was previously right and Google just stops coming, or as is happening they keep coming just as much but dont recache then there is sweet FA you can do. just give up trying and let G do it's thing.
