It's difficult to say - it might be that Google ignores all 7 of the backlinks.

Why not conduct an experiment - pop a site up onto a new domain, write an article and distribute to the 7 sites and then keep an eye on SEOmoz site explorer to see how man backlinks are picked up or use Google search operators to see which one's Google is picking up. It will give you an idea at least.

It can be one to seven depends on google, google seems not going to index those duplicate content. if google ignore the page itself as duplicate content, then you wouldnt get backlink

If you submit all same content to 7 different article website then Google only Count 1 Back links from all seven submitted article. Because, according to Google panda that first article consider as a original content and Google count only 1 back link from that original first submitted article. i have solution about it to get benefit from all seven articles . you should USE "canonical" tag. it's call "article syndication" ,for that you should take an approval for only one article , take that approved link and use that link as a source link of article for that use this code "<a rel="canonical" href="LINK">KEYWORD</a>" add approved article link in this code and add with your article as a source .your article will consider as syndication and you will get benefit of all approved article..

    Hi,

The google count articles backlinks. But in your case this may be penalize your contents because you have submit the same articles in 7 article directory. If you have made some modification of articles at the time of submission then may not be penalize. If your article is submitted in high pr article directory then it may be benefits your website.

    Thanks,

not sure it should work this way
how does it know that the owner is distributing the articles
why not the article directories pickup copy paste articles they find elsewhere ?
google should not penalize you directly for things that are beyond your control
but surely if they change their algorithm like this february with the latest panda
some links might be devalued and other are valued more

It's not good to do like that. why not put different backlink in those 7 websites? It maybe work fine. It's surely that Google like unique content.
