Does Google Awords Conversion Tracking Work With Website Optimizer

I use website optimizer with adwords quite a bit but the one thing I want to know is ....

How to know when testing page combinations with Google Website Optimizer to know which page actually leads to a sale versus just someone merely clicking out to the merchant?

Right now I'm just tracking the conversion as the click to the merchant (not sale not sure how to tie that in)..is there a way to combine the adwords conversion too? (when the user buys from my affiliate link )

I think this might be confusing for some...but there are 2 conversions I'm talking about...Google adwords conversion (affiliate sale) versus Google Website Optimizer Conversion (for me I have this set up as clicking out on the affiliate link to the merchant)

Let me know if anyone has done this or how to do this... getting website optimizer to track conversion as a sale versus just a click out?

Website Optimizer doesn't work with AdWords conversion tracking. When conversion is mentioned in Website Optimizer, it means a conversion page that is defined when you create a Website Optimizer expt.

if u dont have access to the conversion page (if u r an affiliate for another product), then therez nothing you can do abt it, for now atleast.

Nope. Try another tool and you'll have a better shot at getting the results you're looking for.
