Does google automatically remove ad units when there are more than 3?

    Hey

Am doing a blog, and was wondering, if you had an ad unit in the template, and it came up more than 3 times on a page, would google automatically remove the ones over 3, or would it be a ToS violation to have the code there?

    Cheers.

TOS violation. If you're lucky, they'll give you a warning, but that isn't certain. It is a big risk to take.

Having your ad codes (not your ads) show up more than three times on a single page is a violation. If you are using Wordpress, use the Mighty Adsense plug-in to limit your ads to showing 3 times per page. You can't just drop your code into a blog template, it will get repeated over and over.

If it's Wordpress, you *can* actually put the code in the template files - the problem starts occuring if you are also inserting ads into the body of the individual posts. So do one or the other, and not both.

And if you are gonna be inserting ads into the body of individual posts, use the plugin as Jack mentioned.
