Hello, I get over 200K of page views per day from my websites and I have GA installed in each page. I'm trying to save on bandwidth and CPU resource; I was wondering if removing google analytics would make a big difference. Thanks
I seriously doubt that GA is consuming too much of your system and bandwidth resources. It's only sending a relatively small stream of text, with your GA tracking number, IP, referring keywords, referring site, and possibly a few other minor details. If it's more than 1K per visitor, I'd be amazed. All total, it's likely no more than 200MB per day, if that, being passed based on your traffic.
By removing google analytics code you can't reduce CPU usage. About bandwidth, google analytics code size is about 400 bytes, 400*200K page views = 80Mb per day.
i dont think you should remove GA from your sites. so you will be no longer able to track your visitors details..80 mb bandwidth is not so high for you.. so keep it.
