Does google also detect text of pdf files stored on site?

As we know that google doesn't index duplicate content but i am asking that does google detect the text written in the pdf files which are stored on my server?

 

Yes, they do.

They have a very powerful engine which search inside .pdf files hosted on any site, to avoid this, you have to set these files to don't be readable throw search engine (CHMOD, I don't remember if this was 700 or something like that via your Cpanel or any other control panel) or use the .txt file for robot.

Well I have found unguarded pdfs with Google all the time. So if you want a secure pdf then go and get DL Guard. Gives security for paid products you might want to sell.

 

Yes google can also read .PDF file.
