Hello, I have searched and didn't find a satisfactory answer, does google allow link selling (for PR purpose)? a member have posted a thread on this forum before, and said that he read on matt cutt's forum that google doesn't allow this. does any body please knows where is the truth? Thanks
What Matt Cutts wrote about paid links is at the bottom of this article: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/hidden-links/ Jean-Luc
if you will tell google that you buy the link for pr purpose then google does not allow it today, or shall we say it is still allowed but you have to tell google in order for them to check their new system on links
if you want to effect on search search results and page rank system, G does not allow this. according to this http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-to-report-paid-links/ blog post , google will look it and give punishment in future
Google sees it as an artificial means to gain high ranking in SERPs. I am sure they are deriving a way to devalue such links just as they did to reciprocals. The drive against bought links may not necessarily include Pay for Review sites but rather sites created purposely to sell links.Just an opinion.
yes, i was wondering too, who is realy matt cutts? i have heard his name alot, but i wonder if he could really be an unnegotiable source of information.
