Does Google Adsense Stop Working After Website Takeover?

    Hi,

I have recently purchased a website from flippa and the seller has verified proof about his earnings - all the way till the last day until the takeover was finalized.

I am currently using escrow to facilitate this takeover and I realized that although there are very little clicks as compared to his verified income earlier.

I just changed the Adsense publisher ID during the takeover. Is this enough? Or do I need to regenerate the entire Adsense code?

the traffic is still coming in regularly and I don't understand why is the CTR so low? Does it have anything to do with the "age of Adsense placements"?

Besides the Adsense codes, can anyone please enlighten me if I have missed out any other thing during the takeover process?

    Any feedback is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Cabalist

Did you customize your ad colors? Like, did you blend them?

Thanks BudPrime, to answer your question:

Yup, I have fully blended them according to the color codes that the seller previously put on his website.

These color codes are like "proven to work" in the sense because he did manage to get a good Click-through-rate (CTR) from them from his verified earnings.

More feedback from anyone is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Have you seen any difference in traffic to your website ? I mean the targeted traffic. May be he stopped fetching targeted traffic to his website after selling the website to you. I think it is better you wait for a period of time and check the result.

Can you tell us what was the CTR before you took over the website? Have you checked the CTR for a long period or just one or two week period ?
