Ok so i may of gone overboard and accused all religious people in not believing in science. The theories of evolotiona re just that, theories, however they have more logic behind them than some random deity getting bored and creating a universe with intelligent life one day. I believe that monkeys evolved through darwins theory and that only the superior animals survived, and through a very slow process they began to evolve into human beings. My personal belief on death is that we just die, all electrical responses in our brain end and therefore all our thoughts and memories die with them. I guess it is quite a morbib threory but to be honest id get bored shitless if i had to spend eternity in heavan or hell And you believe in god, but in what way do you follow him, are you christian? or do you just believe in the concept of god? Believing in god is cool enough, but if you follow the bible presumably you believe the earth is only a few thousand years old? Plus from what I have read and from speaking to christians if you dont follow christianity then you can go to heaven, so what about all these other religions? Are they all going to hell? Is christiany the right religion? which is the right religion? If lets say god does excist and s/he doesnt actually say any religion is right what is s/he gonna say about all these christians that say i am gonna go to hell? im guess s/he wont be to impressed. If he is all forgiving and forgives all these religions that have done negative things then i am sure i will be forgiven for not believing but living a reasonably decent life.
hey As u said, I do not know that ppl dont believe the existence of universe thousands of years ago and coming to christianity, there is no such thing as religion God has kept, ITs all we created by ourselves..... Man has learnt so many things day-by-day and he learnt to keep seperate unity for himself and his group and so creating his own religion - this resulted in evolving of religions ( As far as my knowledge is concerned) About the people, who say that no christianity no hell , its just not right as I think the heaven or hell are out of this religious bond. so when ppl die, some thing will go out of them that has been proved scientifically, a light kinda thing that was nothing but soul that would get into some other womb to take birth that might be an animal, humanbeing, angel or a bacteria or anything else... depending on the good and bad things we committed in our life. Coming to the existence of heaven and hell, I dont know exactly but some ppl who nearly died and came back to life say they have seen some beautiful things around them and some say that they saw horrible things that can be considered as heaven or hell whatever. But there is no scientific proof as such how this existence started that could be stated as God's gift!! Nice talking to u
meh I guess we cant really argue anymore about it. If someone just believes in god and not organised religion then all the argument comes down to is just ones personal belief. There is no 100% in science creating everything and there is no 100% (or any proof imo) that god did it so all we can do is speculate for now.
God is not just Jesus or nt just Alah or just Devi God is God whatever may be the name of HIM. so i believe in him and i dont hate other religious persons neither i love my religion. Its like I respect my norms, my parents and my unity that doesnt mean a believing in a religion will take someone to heaven or hell its like believing in GOD believing in humanity will take someone to so called heaven or hell. Coming to religions, as I said, I respect my religion but donot downgrade others religions that says i do have no binding of religion around me Its just a kind of discipline that we all brought up with care and fear of GOD(nt to commit sin) I am nt the right one or worth in age or experience in discussing abt the God. What amazes me is the sheer number of 'believers' putting their name to 'Yes' even though the majority probably do NOT actively practice their religion. Have sex with your partners before marrige. Most people in the World follow a religion of convenience... only those rules are followed which are easy to follow..and of course...their "small" sins are forgiven , because "God" always forgives .

What if the Bible is true and those who sin are going to heaven for confessing their sins and asking for forgiveness? I have a hard time going to church, prolly won't go for a long time. I get discouraged hearing Christians talk, because so much seems to be repeated phrase by phrase from somewhere else. I don't know about that non unconditional love. If you believe that this life on earth is just some getting kicked around before going to heaven, then it's not that bad. The question is not just if you believe in God, but whether you trust him enough to take care of you and your loved ones.
Whether you trust him isn't a question if you don't believe in him. It's irrelevant. Even considering anything else happening after death is rather silly in itself, nevermind adopting religion or indoctrinating suggestible children with it. We live and die with the rest of the animals and life on earth. It would be nice to be promised of life after death and to believe in it to remove any fears or concerns about dieing (it is religions biggest selling point, afterall), but to me it would be equally as nice as accepting your death and knowing you lived a happy life and was a generally decent human being. That is it though. Lights out. No heaven. No hell. Just your dead body and a lot of dead cells buried in the ground for more living life to feast upon. That my friend is the only place we go when we die. Back in to the energy loop of life, and I don't mind at all if my rotting corpse provides bacteria, plants and creepy crawlers in the ground with what they need to keep on living. GADOOD - good points, but still: I disagree! None of us can prove our sides. That's just how it is. I believe God exists and the Bible is true (at least the New Testament for the most part if you take things literally).
How can you believe the bible to be true? 'for the most part' isn't really good enough, is it? Do you accept the only reason you have blind faith in God and the bible is simply because that is how you were raised and because of the respect a child has for his parents it's natural, with a bit of goading, to accept anything as fact when coming from parents at a young age. Obviously while the 'indoctrination' is happening you are developing a relationship with something that simply doesn't exist, but because of the relationship and the extent to which it becomes a part of your life, I can see why it's hard for people raised with religion to 'deny' it. It's a very extreme and clever form of mind control, especially as religion has an answer for almost every part of life. If you're unsure of something, you ask your religion and refer to the bible. It's a great moral guide book to life but I'm afraid that is as far as it goes. That isn't opinion I'm afraid - it's a fact, and I aren't trying to sound like a bell-end here and I certainly aren't trolling. I'm sure it's extremely hard for any person brought up with a heavy religious upbringing to deny it or 'get out of it' because it's such a HUGE part of their life. They love god, god loves them back and it's nice to love and to be loved - it's hard for most people to break up from crap relationships, nevermind a life-long one that you've had with god since the day you was born. I imagine you would feel quite empty 'without god' and you get a lot from believing in god and the bible.. why would anyone want to end a relationship that seemingly isn't even harmful to the believer, and of which much good is derived? I'm sure it's nice to be a believer, but to claim something as fact when it clearly isn't.. that really gets my goat about religious people. Believing in Him is not compulsary... it's free will... and i believe that we have a Creator that's why we are here... it's up to us to believe in Him or not... personally i just want to thank Him because He gave this free will do whatever i want and gave me life... Some people keep saying that there is no God because they are just tired of thanking someone who Created him or her... they think it's just a waste of time... in fact we have tons of time for partying, playing games, etc. well i dont fault people keep on ignoring Him, which He doesn't deserve, because they have free will... free will that is being abused... i don't blame religion that leads to war... it's a leaders that brainwashes they minions... they practice a a crooked belief...
