Does Flippa work?

I have posted my webdesign business for sale on flippa.com
    https: // flippa(dot)com/auctions/114509/

I have quite a few views and quite a lot of watchers but no bids!!

Is it like ebay where everyone wait to the end?
Or have I just priced myself out of the market?

Or does it just not work that well (flippa that is)

It depends on how good your site is; money earning (actual and potential), if the right person's looking at Flippa etc.

However as you are just selling the name and not the customer base I think your price is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too high

I'm starting to get that feeling. So what would be a reasonable price to expect in your opinion?

I would say the price is about right for a takeover by one of the big guns (i.e. NetRegistry, SitesnStores...etc). It's a great site, full of quality content. I think i even visited it last week.

Have you tried other avenues to sell it? Like business brokers?

    Thanks for that

Yes been to a few brokers but they seem to have problems with anything that isnt a "brick and mortar" business.
I guess I'll just have to see what comes out of the flippa auction!

I think design sites are hard to sell on flippa....when I sold my first design business i found a local designer, and thats how i got full price for it. I feel like people on flippa wont really appreciate what your site is making you.

Flippa works great for sites that make an income.

This is a tactical question which allows you to effectively promote your auction links here on DP which is now allowed.
