norfstar: I know, I know but as a blogger I think Google is evil enough . I don't know, I don't think Google be eble to buy Mozilla, of course not, but... Jarodboy: I've searched a little. This is called Conditional Comments, and as far as I have searched it seems only detects IE, and maybe is something created only for IE. I'm sorry
I'm running a computer science website and looks like IT people already use mostly Firefox. Therefore, I think I will not use the button anymore, I don't want to annoy my visitors. (And maybe starting a Web Design 101 website would be a good idea for placing the FF button there )
It seems that Firefox refferals don't work for me I'm running a computer hardware related website and when I yesterday checked the stats of Webbrowsers used by my Users (after all, I've been using Firefox Refferals since they are accessible internationally) it came out to my attention that almost 50% of them uses Firefox or Opera... Too bad that refferals don't count if User already using Firefox is downloading latest ver. - newer than he's been using ;/
No success for me either. A few clicks, but no installs it seems. Oh well, not much of a problem. I'll keep it up at least if somebody installs Firefox you'll get paid something and it's a way of spreading the word.
this program REALLY sucks, it goes good with firefox. i had over 100 clicks and one download, thats pretty bad. i could have had 100 clicks on adsense and earned twenty bucks or so. i wont be using this anymore...
haven't made a single cent, today i changed the format, if i don't get anything i'll get rid of it or just leave the small button to support firefox
Quote from a few pages back... Didnt Google recently buy a percentage of Sun? If that is the case, then I reckon within the year G will be promoting Open Office applications.
To the above, it is not firefox that is paying, but google. So far I have had 4 clicks, 2 downloads and $2.
Are you sure? I remember Google and Sun dealing this year: Sun now offers you Google Toolbar or somethinkg like that and Google helps Open Office
I had the need for a long time now to have a "Get firefox" button. No i see that i can make sth out of it as wel.. I installed the button last night, i see it registered in the overview page of adsense. I let someone click it so i know what are the steps from clicking to converting.. I see that when u click, u go to a page that lets you download google toolbar for firefox. Thats plain wrong, unless i am doing sth awfully wrong thats a bit of a stab and not the real deal.. Can someone tell me sth about this story? thanks
