Does facebook really drive traffic to blogs? What would I put on my facebook fanpage; links to my blog posts?

Thanks TheMissingLink007. It seems like people are just posting links to their most valuable content, not all of it.

yep i think with a blog to get your fans interested you would have to update your fanpage daily if not more then daily. Because people wont join if you do nothing they have to be interested. Wow that guy is really updatng his fanpage i better go check and see what his blog is like.

Thanks! I think you're absolutely right! The whole point of a fanpage is to get conversions, and without updated posts, who would go see my blog? Thanks for the help!

Facebook is a great source of traffic for blogs. I have a blog which gets most of its social media traffic from fb. There are many ways to make it happen too, not just fan pages. But content can be posted on fan pages, your wall, and other areas with apps and features already a part of facebook. For example, you can import notes which will take the blog rss feed, and post it to your wall or fan page automatically. There's your updates, and you don't have to do much to manage it.

if you blog consistently its not a bad idea to use a syndication plugin to keep everyone updated, it will eventually get traffic if content is good.

Facebook pages are also good for interaction and building trust with those that read your blog. Do syndicate your blog but also you can post other interesting content, conduct polls, ask questions, share experiences (in a smaller scope than a blog post), and many other things.

Facebook is definitely a great source of traffic provided you have a good amount of fans.

I recommend using an app called NetworkedBlogs https://www.facebook.com/networkedblogs

You can syndicate your feeds to your wall and add a backlink to get users to visit your blog

Of course don't ONLY use syndicated content other wise your page gets boring. Mix it up and add some unique, interesting and engaging content on your wall so fans keep comin back!

Try to actively make the discussions that interest and curiosity in a way to include a resume of your recent articles and also backlinks
