The best way to get traffic from facebook will be viral marketing. Try posting some attractive image with a catchy title and content and share and tag with your friends every 24 hours. I am sure by this way you will get more and more eyeballs for your post and eventually the traffic will be diverted to your site

OK, there are lots of ways to promote a website on FB. Here are some, in no particular order: -In your personal profile to post relevant content related to your business, NOT spam links just asking someone to buy something from you. FB can be great to promote a business if you do so by building relationships FIRST so that people (your FB friends) know you and grow to trust you based on the value you give. Then, if you post an occasional recommendation, they will have a reason to check it out b/c they know you. So, if you are in the car parts industry, you might make posts about car care, make suggestions people could follow to care for their vehicle. At times, where appropriate, refer to your car parts website/business as a source for a certain product or service. Because you are providing value in your posts, people will be much more likely to pay attention to what you say. Remember to be genuine, honest and helpful along the way -yes, make an FB Page for your website/business. Again, if you are doing what I said above, people will actually be glad to follow your Page. On your FB Page, There are ways to get people to visit your website willingly, and get them to be repeat visitors too Multiple ways, in my mind. - If you have a website, you might consider having a blog also on the same topic and then also posting at least a link to those blog posts on your FB wall. This blog would be a great way to have a "conversation" with visitors, allowing them to leave comments and ask questions via the blog. It would help build your credibility and reputation in your niche, assuming that you answer the comments in a helpful and meaningful way. - I would also suggest that, in addition to your car parts related posts, you also make posts related to other stuff (hobbies, tv shows, life in general, etc) that you are interested in. It will convey to people that you are a real person that they can relate to, and not just someone looking to separate them from their money. You'll build relationships along the way. - add FB comments and buttons to your website and blog to make it easier for visitors to make your content viral There are lots of other ways to promote yourself and your business online, and even other ways to utilize FB and other social media. I don't want to make this post too long, but this should be a start. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to PM me
Facebook is the second most trafficed website on the internet. And i think in terms of the page imporession it's the number one beating google.
yes I agree with you but google is serach engine and facebook is social networking site. Facebook is #1 in social networking sites.
I've found that Facebook Fanpages can drive huge traffic although I must admit that the niches I thought would work for Facebook have not and the weird pages I decided to try anyway did very well. Obviously, I do not quite have the feel for what the Facebook market wants yet, but if you do hit on a popular niche, you can get amazing traffic from there.
