    Yes, it was 5000 at some point - I don't know if they revised that recently. You're a lot more likely to get cut off from aggressive friend adding before you reach the limit, though.

    5000 is the limit, but sometimes after 3000 or 4000 also can't add people. This happened to one of my friends.. Even we can't send them friend requests

    5000 is the limit, but if you have a Facebook Fan Page then you can have unlimited amount of friends:)

    5000 is the limit and more over.. if u start adding friends there is a conversion rate where most doesnt add u .. facebook will automatically block ur acct and tells u to send friend request only to known person..

    I don't like the friend limit. I have a friend who is a very hot female poker player, and she has so many friends that I can't add her. lol.

    maybe it will depend on the type of account you make... does an ordinary person can really have 5,000 real friends?

    most of the people in some friends list is a total stranger...

    i dont think there is a limit. i think i saw someone with 7000+ friends. but that was long ago. maybe they have set a limit now.

    As I think, 5000 is a limit for regular members, VIPs (celebrities..) can get more

    you can add more than 5000 friends if you have a fan page with lots of fans...because that makes you a celebrity..
