Does exchange links between two site hosted same IP harm to Ranking?

    I wonder if I exchange links between two site hosted at the same IP will get penalty?

    Any suggestion is welcome!

    No ,you want get penalty but some how it may affect your rank as you are exchanging link from same IP address can be treated as spamming .....

    unless you do heavy interlinking form every single pages to the other site every single pages or so, you dont have anything to worry about. one or 2 or even a few backlinks form the same IP will not hurt.

    The Matt Cutts advice I read was do so if it is relevant to the user. For example, he said a men's clothing website, a women's clothing website and a children's clothing website could link to each other - whereas a women's clothing website and a farming in Devon website sharing links might raise a flag
