Does every post with your link in your sig count as a backlink?

From my test, When you post a new thread in DP it only take about 1-10 min and it's allready index in google. That is truly amazing.

 

Here's something interesting...when I check my backlinks using a tool like www.backlinkwatch.com, my site will show lots of backlinks from here at DP because of my signature...however, it doesn't appear to be using the anchor text...it's just saying that I have a backlink. Try that tool and you'll see what I mean. Backlinks on other sites will show the anchor text of the link...but not the DP backlinks..

 

As I've said before, the real value (for me personally) is our fellow members and having some of them click on my signature links and then do something once they're there.

Most of the articles of mine I drop into threads on Digital Point have had their moment of glory, so it's not like I'm trawling for more traffic.

But it's always nice to build up a strong cache of back-links, too!
