Just about every publisher of ezines and newsletters has advertising options. Some even have solo ad options. You pay them, give them your message, they mail it out to their list. It comes from the publisher, not you. Or find sites that have advertising options in various ezines and newsletters.
I can say from my experience that email work extremely well. I have a newsletter on my website where I sell AdSense websites, and everyone who purchased a website was invited to sign up for the newsletter (double opt-in of course). I created an AdSense search portal script and send the link to my newsletter, and I achieved nearly 10% purchase rate. So if your emails are properly targeted and you maintain a good reputation among people who are receiving them, they are invaluable.
- MySpace, We never spam blablabla... Even tho Everytime I open my inbox I see 250+ emails from myspace duh.
Hi iowadawg - thanks for the good info, I am really new to the ezines an newletter thing... where do I find a list of publishers of ezines and newletters?? Thanks in advance
I was wondering same thing. I would like to find out about reputable company that will send out targeted opt-in emails for you. Anyone had any experience with inetgiant? (http://www.inetgiant.com/) I don't want to waste time and money if it doesn't work. Just want to see if anyone can recommend a good company.
Yes good idea. Has anyone had any experiences with these companies? Are there any that anyone would recommend or not recommend?
I agree, I send emails every week or two talking about some announcements. My site is about hockey, so I usually don't "sell" products in these emails...I try to make them friendly and short, because myself I am bored reading long emails some websites send me. My advice is YES they help, but try to make them short and attractive so people go back to your forums. qnhl_com
I have a newsletter with around 200 subscribers but i want to and try to boost traffic through third party opt - in email advertising. i m just wondering if anyone tried it already.

according to some statistics. e-mail is number #1 next to SEO and stuff. perhaps, it still works even if unscrupulous filtering of false-positive spams is rampant in certain e-mail clients. just target the right audience. those who are really engrossed and who have registered into receiving such email newsletters and sales copy. also, you may need to do some segmentation and personalization.
Lots of really good stuff in this posting, thanks. I've just coded the ability to subscribe to our newsletter as a result of this posting
