Does Dublin Core Matter for Google?

I'm always looking to improve my site's code and I can't help, but look at those: "
    <meta name="DC.
    HTML:
and think to myself that maybe Google doesn't need them...

I'm only asking because the Dublin set of tags is ten lines while the standard meta name and description tags are just two. I feel like I may be adding unnecessary bloat.

    What do you guys think?

I personally feel it adds little value. If you run a woorank.com report on most sites it will show they also dont have a Dublin core.

Google spiders love good codes as its easy for them to understand it, so better try to use easy codes
