Does DP Adsense Sharing Hurt Publishers?

Assuming Google Adsense takes "smart pricing" into account, wouldn't poor performing DP adsense sharing ads have a negative effect on our EPC?

I signed up over 3 weeks ago, and have not earned a single penny from DP adsense sharing.
Now, read about Smart Pricing, where one poor performing site can effect your whole adsense account.

    Any thoughts?

You're only smart priced if you have people clicking your ads, and not converting for the advertiser, not if you have a really low CTR.

Ok. here's the official google link on smart pricing.

Thanks Giraph for clearing that up. Although I question what "a successful conversion actually entails?"

I often check the URL of the ads on my site, and search for them on google. Many offer newsletters, plans, advice, etc.

Are certain conversions weighted more heavily than others?

it doesn't really affect us publishers. I just always have plenty of Q's for Google.

I don't think the sharing hurts publishers at all, I only added my adsense 2 days ago and had 9 impressions, but I can't see how it would harm us any more than any other ads.
