Does domain transfer erase domain age?

Hello all, just recently purchased a domain off ebay and had to make a godaddy account to get a pushed onto. I regularly use name.com, however, and am thinking of transferring from GD to name after the 60 day push period.

My question is, does the transfer reset domain age? Or does it stay the same?

The domain age stays so long as it's never dropped. So transferring is ok.

I would think that the information about the entity who the registration belongs to would be more important than who the registrar is. Which leads me to wonder what impact things like private registrations have on sites as far as the trust search engines have for them goes.

Don't worry with it . The Domain Age will stick with the domain forever . The older the domain is , you can get more advantage of it while google likely to rank older age domain in Google Trustrank.
