I've added a site to DMOZ last week. I was wondering, in average, how much time does it take until it's added? does DMOZ send you a confirmation email if it's accepted or rejected? if rejected, how can I know why?
And if rejected, no way to know the reason? for instance, is there any reason you might think of to reject http://www.itzuviem.com I followed the instructions they have on the submitting page.
even i submitted long back till now my link is not up.may be they take more time.i think they intimate when link is up.
The only email I've ever seen from dmoz was for a site that was listed as a cool site; but that was quite some time back.
Nice site, I see no reason to reject. Most likely an editor hasn't reviewed it yet. How long ago did you submit, most of the unreviewed from before October of last year were lost in the recent crash.
dmoz is the least webmaster friendly directory, but yet the most popular and everyone wants to get there, go figure that out
I have submitted two sites, one was accepted within about six months and was just my design company which never really changes. The other one seems to never get accepted but actually offers free online famous quotes database and has unique content and is updated on a daily basis. I do not understand the policy for DMOZ but it seems to vary day to day :/
I agree. I've submitted a site 36 months ago, 30 months ago, and 24 months ago... I didn't get any e-mail, and wasn't inserted. After that I stop playing with DMOZ.
