I am wondering if DMOZ e-mails you weather or not your link is accepted.

I submitted over 6 weeks ago I think. Idk it's been a while

how long does it usually take to get accepted or declined?

They will not email you. Don't hold your breath while waiting to be listed. Could be years if at all. Currently they are over a year behind (last I heard) on reviewing submitted sites.

My experience is not only will they not email you, they won't list you either. You can try finding a corrupt editor, but that's about it.

You won't hear anything from Dmoz, the only way to find out if your link is accepted is to check the directory you submitted it to every so often. However, that won't tell you if your link has been rejected or is just in a very long queue or has been moved to another category.

Basically, with Dmoz you should submit your site just to see if it gets in as the process doesn't take too long, but don't expect anything to happen or to hear anything from the people behind the site. It's one of the most badly run sites on the web.
