Does Directory Submissions play major role in seo?

In past 1-2 days , i bought 9-10 links in directories and looking to buy more.
But I want to know that links in directory helps in seo ???

Theres no major linkbuilding factor
And there are 2-4k free dirssubmit to those and then maybe buy some links first use the free ways to build links

Dir submissions is one method to build links. some say it as no more value since too many overnight dirs have been around.

Some dirs do have more value as they do real editorial when selecting the accepted website. While some dirs, accept any sites...

 

directory links always helpful to get your keywords on high ranking..............................no a major player for page rank

 

if it is an authority directory, then its ok to buy links from. like yahoo direcetory (costs $300 per year), DMOZ (free but very hard and time consuming to get approved), BOTW, etc. other than a handfull of reputed directories, i say you can just submit to free link direcetories rather than paying a handfull of individual directories.

 

couldn't agree more with sultanofseo, as only a handful of directories will help you in ranking whereas the rest of the directories will help with your PR.

 

I think directories that have good page rank and good number of listing still worth for submission.
