Does Directory submission works

Relevant Directory submission always work...

 

I read at matt cutts blog that they consider paid directories ok only if you are paying a small fee for a review rather than paying to be included.

How they consider yahoo to fit with this when they charge $300 a year I don't know, but they still approve of yahoo. I really doubt yahoo put $300 of man hours into the review process each year, but hey why not just pick on the webmasters charging $15.

I have found the occasional good directory with high PR on the page you get your link for a good price and have noticed serp improvements on less compeditive keywords from this.
