Hello I want to know if directory submission is working to my PR. Because I have done several submission, meaning 1000 and my PR is still 1. I have used good dir..with PR high..What's the problem?
PR is a minor consideration not to be taken too seriously, serps is more important and that can be achieved by having your URL Review on Directories
Pr is useless. Concentrate on ranking. And yes directories submission plays its role in ranking but it depends on directories in which you have submitted your website. Cause every submission if approve is a backlink for your website.
I guess directory submission helps in getting inbound links for our site... but as far as i have studied and noticed... outbound links also play a critical role.... so I feel a balanced ratio of inbound and outbound links can really help us get a better page rank. Just an opinion though
Yep it work's even in the wake of latest Google announcement of penalizing websites who all involved in paid directory submissions or directory submissions. But what i believe that leave bigger names and can go with other reputable less famous directories. But keep in mind go with 10 to 15 directory submissions in a month time period. It depends on the directories that you have submitted to. Certain free directory owners either approve everything, or ignore the directory all together. In case 1, your site is buried somewhere deep, with tons of crappy links along side, and in case 2, your site is submitted but not approved.
Quality over quantity even if you many backlinks and it is not quality still it will not increase your PR.. Increase your link popularity first in order to achieve high PR.
D'nt worry, directory submission can not increase your page rank. You should write rich content in your webste, write articles & blogs. Try to link your related websites.
It depends on the quality of directory.. The benefit I can see with this one is the relevant and unique backlinks they can provide.
I think seo friendly directories can play a major rule in pr .. and google count link page pr and + + with other incomming links...but it doesn't mean that link page have no pr is useless thats also countable but in quantity not quality.

only high PR directory submission is not enough, to increase you need to do other seo tactics also, and checked in how many site your site will approved. but keep working on it. it doesn't means that dir submission is worthless. Start with all tactics you will definitely get gud result.
