Does Direct Traffic is effective?
I am wondering because I checked my Google analytics and the direct traffic is high but my bounce rate is high also.
How does it happen, please explain.. thanks

 

That's very odd unless you get tons of mentions without a link and people who copy-paste the url find the content of your website not to be what they expected.

 

In normal case, direct traffic prooves that you have a very good site that people will directly type your site in browsing tool.In other case like when you buy traffic, then direct traffic is useless as it even might be traffic from robots that try to fulfill the promised amount of traffic from traffic providers.

All the traffic except spamming will useful for you. If you are getting direct traffic then try to know how and from where you are getting the same. Then try to find out the landing page by which you are getting traffic. By getting landing page you can improve all to reduce the bounce rate.

Well this is the good sign that you are getting very high direct traffic but as you said bounce rate is high. this shows that the content of the site is not good . Direct traffic means your site is very popular then try to optimize the content of your site .

because online ads isn't the ones in the past.

direct traffic also help you when your are trying to get some useful traffic but max time it become a problem when you see your bounce rate bounce rate increase when some one not find some interesting thing on your website so if you want to reduce your bounce rate then try to update your website with some new and interesting content.

 

Having Direct traffic is really good to your site.. simply that symbols your site has some good authority .....
coming to bounce rate,, you site lacking some essential things which are expecting form you!!!!

 

direct traffic is symbol of increase in brand awareness of your site. people are coming to your site by typing your website name in URL address bar

 

i think you also need PR5 or high PR back link,
because this is also helpful to you getting more traffice
